Ok.....time For A Great Poll

On average, about one time every 2 years, things get slow. Being total retail, in a small community, I start to sweat a little. Savings drops, a lot of bids, no results, or limited.

Most the time this happens right about now, as a matter of fact, it is happening now. Durring this time I reconsider my positional options. Is it better to sub and reap less profit settling for a marginal loss of control and have some one else cracking the whip. Or, should you just settle in and shake the trees harder, even though ya know when the apple drops an eve or an ex-eve will just scurry over and gobble it up.

So, whats the verdict?

Bob

Hey Glass,

Ever consider hi-jacking a Brinks truck?

And, I live up north of you so if ya' pick a town at our half-way point, I might even be convinced to meet you and be your accomplice!

Kind of like, Bonnie & Clyde!

And, we don't have to tell the Mrs. or the ex-Mrs about the loot. Your secret is safe with me!

Now that you mention it, yes...I have considered that option. I'll bet a crawler would open up a brinks like a duck to a clam.

Patiently waits while Patty now reconsiders her statement.

Gee, Glass, you people down South sure do talk funny!
Crawlers? Ducks? Clams?

Not sure what your last post said, but, in any event, I'M IN ON THE HEIST! Maybe Tom will drive the getaway car (truck?) for us and we'll do a three-way split. Whatdya think?

Think he knows how to drive? I've seen him on a float in the gay parade. Seemed ok to me!

Glass,
Unless you'de rather stay home watching the Jerry Springer show I think being in that position ( which I have before ) you
would want to go and sub some work from someone else to bring the Benjamins in. Can't get behind wit the exs.

Sheesh!! I'll have you know I got paid GOOD MONEY to 'ride' that LIBERACE 'blow-up-doll' float!!

Although I 'was' only able to collect about half, - - they claimed it was never part of the 'PLAN' for me to bite it so hard on the neck that it 'farted' and blew off into the sunset!!

And before you 'hire me' as your driver, - - you might want to check out 'DRIVING' in the 'Off-Topic' forum!!

Listen Thomas....you really need to reach out to your inner child, hun. You are delusional and in a state of denial.
We already know what your 'preferences' are. You don't have to 'pretend' around us. We're your contractortalk family. We love you unconditionally!
And, if you have this.....'need' to be a tough guy instead of the that you really are, so be it!

Incidentally, I see you are NOW trying to recruit jmic into your little 'club' of cowboys! I recognize your subtle ways. You don't have me fooled!
WATCH HIM, jmic. Before you know it, Tom, Ron and Mike will have you watching Brokeback Mountain with them!

Re: Ok.....time For A Great Poll

Sheesh, Patty

Somehow I KNEW I shouldn't have even TRIED that STRATEGY!!

Welp, - - on the lighter side, - - at least you're not MAD AT ME!!

Maybe I'll just come to your house to personally APOLOGIZE, - - I really do think you DESERVE IT!!

Anyone ever really take notice of what all is on a parade float? The "waving celebrity" sits on a little stool. According to hearsay, Tom's was the first ever built with an upright saddle type seat. No one really questioned that, but when he requested the horn in the rear instead of front, he won the rainbow award three years straight.

*runs and hides now*

Re: Ok.....time For A Great Poll

Oh Purty, LMAO!!! Not sure which post to respond to first! The float post was too funny! Watching 'them' might be too over the top for me!

But, I think we all should get spanked for hi-jacking Glasshousebuilder's post.
Sorry Glass! Won't happen again. (Yea, right! )

Forget about the Brinks truck idea, Glass. I think I would scrape up a bit o' ca$h-ola on the side until the weather breaks and you go full-throttle, again.

As for Mrs. Glass (err.... and ex-Mrs. Glass) just tell them you are volunteering for free, or something! They'll never be the wiser!

Sheesh!!

Who told??

No one could even see the HORN!!

Just the 'PAINED' smile on that BUMPY RIDE!!

I prefer to call it my 'REIGN-BOW' award after all these 'wins'!!

It seems like the Tom and Patty carnival is taking over the whole board.
Could you guys keep it to the off topic section or maybe ask Nathan
to provide you your own category?
Please...
