October 06 CT Consensus (open For 2 Weeks)
What Group would you put yourself into?
All it gave me was 10 spots .... I consider roofing and trades like that as Carpenters. And also CATV and Telephone guys as Electrical... I think it's pretty well thought out... Last edited by Peladu; 10-13-2006 at 03:42 PM. |

Re: October 06 CT Consensus (open For 2 Weeks)
I tend to think of myself as a plumber, but I'm in general contracting now.

Re: October 06 CT Consensus (open For 2 Weeks)
Carpenter was the closest one I could think of too. I consider myself to be a remodeler. But that might be too general, but that's pretty much a good description. A little, drywall, a little paint, a little plumbing, a little electrical, a little mechanical, a little tile, a little framing, a little trim, a little finishing work... put me down for jackass of all trades.

I thought this site was 100% for painters now! Speaking of which my sister needs one in RI.

Re: October 06 CT Consensus (open For 2 Weeks)
I think you need 2-3 polls Peladu to cover everyone.
Just from the forums here there are: 1. Carpentry 2. Construction 3. Drywall 4. Electrical 5. Excavation & Site Work 6. Flooring 7. HVAC 8. Landscaping 9. Masonry 10. Painting 11. Plumbing 12. Remodelling 13. Specialty Work And a few more I can think of: 14. Framing? 15. Demolition? 16. Other Please Explain That's how I would do the poll. I know you weren't asking me, but there's my 2 cents anyway!

Re: October 06 CT Consensus (open For 2 Weeks)
#14. Would be a Carpenter
But, it only gave me 10 spots and I don't remember their being a demo company. I didn't want to put other, because too many guys here would put other, since they do landscaping and electrical....you know what I mean. This is the best I could do with the limited tools I have .... Click the numbers and you will see who voted for what... |

Re: October 06 CT Consensus (open For 2 Weeks)
Just make it a poll where you can check more than one option...if that is an option.

I'd call myself a carpenter, but most of my coworkers call me a "wood butcher..."

Re: October 06 CT Consensus (open For 2 Weeks)
Since there was nothing for 'roofer' I just picked 'electrician'. They're basically the same.

Or maybe I made it worse. Feel free to edit what I did.
