I have never had this problem ... but I have had the 'my foot in your ass' disease.

Not your ass specifically though...

Re: Nice - To Be Or Not To Be ?

Foot in mouth disease if not treated right away can lead to " Head up your Ass ". The treatment is much harsher if it leads to that.

Staying with him is a "Mitzvah", or Hebrew for a "good thing". Unfortunately, you have bills to pay as well as him.
Your free time to him is time that you could be using to prospect for other work.
My suggestion is to bring his paperwork as up to date as possible in one or two sessions, leave it in a state that everything can be easily resurrected at a later date, and then leave as ammicably as you can.

I'm sorry to hear of your predicament. I've been there more than once myself. The worst thing is that you see his books and KNOW that it's not going to get better.

What kind of business is he in, if you don't mind me asking? Is there any way you can suggest anything to him? Heck, send him here! There are plenty of people here who'll set him straight!

So, no great ideas for you, just sympathy...

Oh you tease you! Good thing I don't have a foot fetish, or I would have fainted over such an attractive foot.

Hey - ya know what they say about guys with big feet

They wear BIG shoes!!!

Hmmm... A plumber. I thought those guys did ok in business. (As far as hourly rate, etc...) I guess no amount of income will magically turn a bad business person into a good one.

As far as sending him here: Don't worry, your secret identity is safe with us

You should use Gold Bond in your boots not Titebond.

I can't leave him high and dry either, because his mess will get messier without me keeping up on the books - besides, it isn't my MO. I know everyone here has helped someone out before, but how long in your opinion is too long. He owes me about 225.00 as of today, and I myself don't have wads of cash laying around. I guess what I am thinking (it NEVER stops! ) is it isn't like he is going to be financially better next month, or even in six months. I just don't know WHAT TO DO!! I have a REAL hard time asking for money when I see first hand how little he has, and what does come in - I pay bills to try to keep him afloat. Opinions?
See if this guy will 'barter' his portion by working at your house. Lord knows there is always something that needs to be done on the homefront.

De,

For what it might be worth.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
Do yourself no harm. (don't be afraid of discomfort)
You stand in your shoes.
You can see into his.
Speak the truth. (sometimes you have to hurt someone to help
them)
Do the right thing. (with no thought of what you'll get out of it)
"the right way is the hard way, the wrong way is the easy way"
