New Garage Roof Material

On my way home I saw a garage with a pretty new blue roof. Thinking another blue tarp patch job no big deal. As i got closer I noticed it was much nicer then a tarp. Perfect corners wrapped into the soffit, no batten boards holding it down. They actually took boat shrink wrap and did the whole roof. I don't know the cost of this stuff but I got to imagine shingles cannot be much more money.
