New Dedicated Server Coming (again)
About a year ago we moved ContractorTalk.com to a dedicated server to handle the traffic and it has worked well but we are now starting to overload it.
We have grown A LOT over the last year and we expect to grow A LOT more between now and the end of March which is our typical busy season. Here is a chart of our growth over the last 2 years. ![]() Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that we will be moving to a new server in about 2 weeks. This new server is pretty high end and hopefully it will handle our traffic for at least another years worth of growth. We will try to keep the downtime to a minimum and I will try and let you know when the downtimes will be. It's sad to spend the money but exciting to see the growth that is taking place here. Thanks to everyone who helps make this place great!

Nathan, just curious, what does the vertical scale refer to? (0-700,000). Rich.

Nathan you know my feelings about large community sites. They tend to be less personal, therefore less attractive. Anyways I am happy for your success.

Nathan,
Thanks for all your hard work. And this with a new born in the house. A new server and a new born??? How's your wife holding up?

That drop off in May is interesting. What do you atribute that too? The busy season starting for contractors?

As long as the overall trend is up I'm good We also didn't drop nearly as much this year and have bounced back quicker.
