I like the left one guys, but the problem remains, are you targeting mason work or building homes? It is kind of hard to get both out of one logo.

The logo to the left is way too angular and dynamic for an effective brick masonry logo. The one on the right has my vote all the way, particularly because it imparts the the message of "stability" yet still has relatively progressive feel to it.
