I like it, although yours may have the same problem we do with ours. Anytime you get into something with alot of fine detail, it doesn't always reproduce well in all areas. Using ours as an example.. it looks fine in print but on the embroidered shirts, it's very difficult to reproduce the little electric cord around the hard hat. You might have problems with the tool or saw blade edges on yours. I'd recommend testing it out as many ways as possible before making the final decision.

Little too busy with the P and the C for my tastes.

Re: My Company Logo. Any Ideas For Making It Better?
It is a good start, however, IMO:
the house graphic at first glance looks like a mask. I would fill in the roof and the wall line to eliminate the confusion. Your design forces the brain to assemble a jigsaw puzzle. the P and C are also confusing to the eye. At first I saw a PO or even worse, a FO. I would use the hammer design as a lower case f in Perfection. I would indicate your corporate structure after Perfection Construction ie. LLC, or Reg., or Inc.. Perfection Construction sounds awkward. General Contractor should be on the left. Your current logo puts Design first, General Contractor seems to be an after thought. I would drop the Design, Build, Remodel stuff and put a phone number instead. If you are a General all the other stuff is implied anyway. Keep in mind that most people will see you logo for a few seconds while they pass you at 60mph. Don't give them too much to think about. Mark |

Looks Very creative,
But as MarkNov wrote: the house graphic at first glance looks like a mask. I would fill in the roof and the wall line to eliminate the confusion. Your design forces the brain to assemble a jigsaw puzzle. the P and C are also confusing to the eye. I agree. It's alot to look at. You have basically 3 'trademark' type icons. You have the 'house', the 'P' and the 'C'. That is alot. Most companies (ours included) use 1 good trademark icon. IMH - Consider just one of these that will best 'identify' your company. Personally, FWIW - I like the house with the curved line. I would just keep that and get rid of the confusing 'P' and 'C'. You want people to be able to clearly read your company name - Perfection Construction. That name should be CLEAR, quick read and easy to comprehend. MarkNov also makes another good point about your wording. Maybe you could 'separate' the wording underneath (in a sense) - by using a different font. For Example: PERFECTION CONSTRUCTION General Contractor Design, Build, Remodel Try playing around with some of your fonts to 'separate' - What You Do- with "Who You Are". Just my 2 cents.

Re: My Company Logo. Any Ideas For Making It Better?
That house is some one elses graphic and I'm willing to bet you do not have rights to use the image becuase you have cut off the bottom part and added your own text. You should be very carefull in using other people property esp with some as important and a company logo.
I gotta question why you'd name your company perfection contruction, is Jesus himself coming to do your work for you? Anyways enough with the poking at you. You probably don't care becuase I see that your last post was in 2006. lol |

I'm a new member who's had a Logo for a long time. I feel making your logo maybe a little diffent also makes it yours. It time people will remember you because of your logo. Try to use it on everything you can and make sure you register it with the state as your Trade Mark. Good Luck

Here's a good test for any logo... When the logo is reduced to the size of a postage stamp is must be recognizable and relevant. You want to be able to use it on business cards, letters, proposals and any other printed info.Think of the "shell" for Shell gas, or the golden arches for McDonalds. Hire a professional.
Your logo is wacky. I am sure you are an excellent builder, but that is not the perception I get. Hire a professional. Last edited by Chris G; 12-11-2007 at 03:13 PM. Reason: a little harsh |
