Mono Or Stem Wall
I'm building my first home in Florida on lake front in a flood plane. I have like 16 to 32 inches before hitting the water table. I cut about 4 inches and filled the lowest side of the lot about 10 inches (to level it out some). Could I get by on a mono slab, nobody will give me a straight answer? I'm worried if I dig down for a footer to "virgin soil" and the table rises next year I'll have problems. My lot is pretty much flat. With the water table going up and down I worry about a mono slab but then again I really dont know the tech. side to them. What would be best and would either work?
