Mike Roe From "Dirty Jobs"

Who else likes mike Roe from Dirty Jobs on the discovery channel. I have to hand it to the guy........unlike most TV personalities who will "Show" you how to do a tough job...................this guy actually jumps in and trys to do them. He seems to work his tail off "ok only one day"........and seems to have a good sense of humor while doing it the job. He has done just about everything in the construction buisness. Just my two cents.

That show is neat ( well dirty )

I was surprised at some of the things people had to do for a job.

When I was younger, I saw him on Cable TV with one of the local Baltimore stations. He did news pieces. Maybe it was WBAL.

He did a show on demolition of a commercial building and another show on salvaging building items.

Re: Mike Roe From "Dirty Jobs"

Mike has to be THE most "real" guy on TV. His dry sense of humor and way of somehow insulting some really dumb people without them knowing it or feeling insulted is priceless. Ever see the one where he is re-treading tires and the dude showing him how to do it has a thick accent? The guys says to Mike, "Now we have to look for cats in the tire..." Mike Rowe must have said "Cats?" 10 times in a row before he realized that "Cats" is broken English for "Cuts". The look he made into the camera upon discovering this was absolutel priceless.

Anyway Mike Rowe has been on Opie and Anthony twice to date and is an absolute show stopper. He might be one of THE most entertaining people I've ever heard interviewed. He joined the Boston opera for the health benefits without really being able to sing.

I just hope he doesn't lose his edge as he gets more and more famous like some other TV personalities.

After watching him do some of the things he has done, playing in the poop does'nt seem quite so bad!
