Anyone have any experience with a unit like these:

Thinking it might be nice to mount one of the tall ones in my trailer.

Until you hit a bump. Then you've got a mess.

Get something that closes securely and latches, with a solid top.

Stuff like this.

Re: Metal Shelf Bins

Had a van once. put those bins in. drilled out the frame. attached a bungee cord across each row to retain the bins. G

Re: Metal Shelf Bins

I guess I could buy the bins and make a cabinet to slide them in. I would have to make some sort of door that shut or something.

Those bins are only 3 and change each.

The guy that looks like Castro!!

I like the side door on my trailer, I dont want to render it useless. Besides, I am going to get and RV awning for that side.

Re: Metal Shelf Bins

American Van.com for straight backed open shelves. Or www.grainger.com. I have an open shelf in my trailer, held in place with an adjustable strap. I also put a cap on the bottom of the legs so the leg did not gouge the Rhino lining on the floor. I then used a stanley angle brace screwed to the legs & tge fkiir. that was so hte legs stayed in place and did not walk on the floor.
