Question

Material Costs New Building


ok so my numbers are all over the place with a project i am getting ready to build. It will a city building an i am thinking of converting it into a loft style place. what kind of number can i expect to spend per sq. ft. in material... could use any help anybody can offer. i know it is a broad range but i have like two day toget my numbers together.

somewhere from $1 Sq ft to $100,000+ a sq ft. That has got to be the worst one of these questions on here.

I usually do loft conversions for about $19.95 +TAX per square foot.

A homeowner turned builder...."who needs pro's, I can do it! I'll ask the guys at Home Depot...they're the real pro's"

Sorry dude if you are a legit GC you should have an idea of costs, most of us here spend years of trial and error to make it happen, if you want advice no prob, costs? well, robertcdf is right, $1.00 to $100,000.00 per square foot and you'll do ok.

Cost per Sq Ft Gulf Coast (Biloxi) commercial $130 for average construction
