Master Electrician License In Pa (philadelphia)

I'm confuse about this electrician license test in philadelphia ,pa
did the city require you to takeclass (exam prep) ($800) for the test?

I am in Florida and the state does not require any preperation for the exam.

Exam prep clsses are a good idea, because what is on the test is not always the way it is done in the real world and many of the questions are about code issues that are buried in the code book that are rarely used, but they want to make sure you can find code questions.

Every license that I have, I took an exam prep class and it is amzing some of the irrelevant questions that come up on the test.
