Hmmm....he needs you to pull a permit and then says that you don't need to report to the IRS. This guys been drinking drain cleaner.

He didn't say you didn't need to report it, he just said he'd be paying you in cash. But it does seem a bit shady.

The great thing is, you only have to work along side him to "start and finish the job"- he'll take care of all the non-important stuff in the middle.......

Im no electrician, but wouldnt it take longer than 2 weeks start to finish for one guy, and nutjob HO on a 3500sq ft. home?

Anytime the HO offers "help" it takes longer.

This guy is smoking dope on his "..2 weeks to get er done...".
W/O even having seen the plans, a minimum of 3x his "guess-timate" w/o his "help".
