maple cabinet finish

Just finished some maple built ins for a customer, and was looking for some ideas on finishing them. The customer is open, but does like the light look of maple. Any ideas? thanks

Maple can get very blotchy without the proper preparation... If you're going the brush on polyurethane route, first apply some Minwax wood conditioner.

If you are spraying it with professional products, a washcoat (sealer reduced to 5% solids) will help keep the finish even... The finishing forum over at Woodweb is the best place to gather info.
