Man Am I Having A Crappy Day

I was getting ready to set a new toilet today then, my phone rang.... Went for it in my pocket and then my day went south, fumbled the damn thing and dropped it directly down the crapper pipe! Luckly I was able to reach it and grab it. But now it stinks like poop and the cleaners I used to disinfect it seem to have made their way to the screen and messed that all up. Worst thing about it is that its a 2 month old $300 phone and dummy me didnt get the insurance for it. Man I'm pizzzed.

Not to make your day worse, but you are aware of the germs that phone may have been exposed to?? Ecoli in particular. Are you sure it's worth saving consider it spends most of it's time right next to your face?

I used some lysol on it. Thats the reason its not working now, I sprayed a bunch of cleaner on it. Think that would kill those germs? Oh yeah, even to make the day worse we're having severe thunderstorms tonight and my shop roof ripped off on Sunday! It was a rolled asphalt roof, ready for replacment anyways but the storm tonight is gonna suck. Damn wheres the picture of that backwards gun!

Re: Man Am I Having A Crappy Day

Once I was at a job site and was taking a pee in the jobsite porta potty and my phone rang. I stumbled to get it off my holster on my half pulled down pants, fumbled with it once, twice, and then dropped it into the nice blue water. That's where it stayed (there's no way I was even going to attempt to retrieve that one). Had to go the next day and get another, Doh!!!

Call your phone company and tell em you want the insurance added to your account, wait a day and make a claim! They don't know when it went down the crapper, lol.

No insurance and there's no way I was going to walk around with blue arms for weeks. As far as the "WUSS" thing, could you really see yourself putting your hands in there and swishing around until you found your phone. Oh that's it, no wait that's a piece of sh*t. No, wait it must be it, oh darn, its another piece of shi*t. I'd like to see you do that Teetor.

If your phone place is upto snuff that wont fly either. Sis in law tried that when hers got broken, she called in to put ins on it and they told her she needed to bring in her phone so they could check it over prior to putting ins on it...

When you work in it, you get used to it. I guess that none of you have boats large enough for current systems either. It's just crap, you get over it.........and wash real well.

A smart Finnlander like me would have thrown my wallet down there to so I wasn't just going after the phone!!

Sewer Divers In Honolulu

KB, no matter how bad the phone is your day aint as bad as this guys:

Or how about sunny Mexico!
Mexico sewer diving

Quote:
Imagine diving in Mexico City's sewage system--in water so polluted that visibility is zero, even with the aid of light. Now imagine groping your way around in human feces, sulfuric acid and hazardous waste. As you reach out in the darkness, you blindly grasp a razor-sharp piece of metal that slices straight through your wet suit and into your flesh. Or perhaps you find yourself clutching a soft, solid object, only to realize seconds later that it is a decomposing human cadaver. .
Quote:
The divers, who periodically encounter bodies because sewers are popular spots for dumping murder victims, only call police when they bring a body to the surface
Quote:
For this, Barrios earns about $480 a month.

Re: Man Am I Having A Crappy Day

my sprint phone busted...went to the store. I had no insurance. The guy just gave me insurance and said comeback in three days to replace the phone. Did the same for my wife. UK and the buckeys can cause that.

Re: Man Am I Having A Crappy Day

I had "insurance" that I was paying 5 bucks a month for. Upon reading the fine print, if i needed to replace the phone, I'd still have to pay 50 bucks for it. When I cancelled, i told them that the sales-girl never told me about that part, and that I felt that I had been getting ripped off for the period of time that I was paying for this BS "insurance."
She, of course, didn't care.
This is verizon. read your fine print.

I'd still recommend replacing the phone, but if you do end up keeping it.... Mix up a 1:10 bleach solution to wipe it down throughly. One part bleach to 10 parts water. Wet a cloth in the solution (but not so that it's dripping of course)
and wipe down every inch, including any crevices, that you can get to. Allow the phone to dry on it's own and repeat.

I"m not just talking out my a$$ on this one, I have been a nurse since 1988 (still working nights now and then to stay current) and believe me, poo is some baaaad ***** when it comes to disease transmission. E Coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Candida, Cryptospor... just to name a few.

Trash the phone...recoup the loss on taxes is my vote.
