....looks Like I Have Pissed Off The Handymen On Craigslist
Just got this in my e-mail today and thought I would share a good laugh with all of you
 Hello, I am a contractor. Just want to give a courteous and friendly heads up to you that it's pointless for you to give out estimates to any customers because I will beat your price anytime, anyday! Whatever price you give to any shopping around customers on Craigslist, I will beat that price by offering an even lower estimate. I informed every customers to give me the cheapest price estimate they get from any companies, and I will offer an even lower price. Afterall, all customers are cheapos and will pick the cheapest workers. So therefore, this is a friendly competition note to inform you, don't waste your time. I'm the king of craigslist because I beat all the prices. Thanks for your time. Maybe you can try posting in the newspapers, magazines. Because Craigslist customers is already taken cared of by me.

so, have some fun...really advertise heavily on craigslist...give people email quotes...50% lower than you would ever imagine...leave them completely vague...doesn't matter, you'll never do the job...heck, set up another company (at least letterhead anyway) for this...then tell the customer to call this guy...that you gave your best price, but you know that it's fruitless because this guy always beats your price...
that'll keep him busy for awhile... |

But is any of us going after the customer that would hire this guy? Sorry, if they want the cheapest, they don't want me. Hell, if they are looking on Craigslist for a craftsman, all they will find is CRAPSmen IMHO -Bill |
