A Little Help With Some Lumber Labels
lookin for a little help on a pressure treated lumber packaging label.
what does PP mean? what does RP mean? what does, .40 .60 BRT stand for? what does #2/stand mean? thank you for your help. |

.40 and .60 are retention ratings for the amount of preservative held by the wood... .40 being rated as "ground contact" and .60 for water contact and mostly used in marine construction projects. #2 is the grade of the lumber....This being the typical grade for most framing lumber. |

PP and RP are the breed of wood both are Pine. PP is ponderosa Pine RP is red Pine. check this link for other common abbreviations.
