legal issues

I'm having some legal issues for the 1st time.
I built a garage for a customer(w/ permit) he later asked to make it a little bigger, so we did.! we had a falling out close to the end of the project, he went right to the building dept., and now the S is rolling down hill !!
Anyone had similar legal issues??

you might want to ask these guys.

free legal advice

don't expect any sympathy. Cover your ass from now on. If you've deviated from the permitted plans, you played with fire and now will get burned.

The homeowner is the one in trouble, and he's an idiot to boot. Common sense would tell anyone that it was the homeowners idea to build it bigger, no contractor is going to do it for free. File a lawsuit to collect any money owed to you. Hopefully you get paid and the guy has to pay someone to fix or tear down the garage.

The stuff that rolls down hill from not having the right permit runs to the HO not the contractor.....

Regardless, it's the customers responsibility.

Still sounds like a HO asking this....

Whatever you are, good luck. A seasoned Remodeler and GC, as stated, would have covered himself...
