Hell if i can bang out ten Kitchens in a row i'd buy the 20/20 for 4,200 bucks till then i need something else can anyone out there help me out i willing to buy a copy of whatever asap, i asked builders , arcterts (spelling) and hit a brick wall everytime please send any leads you can think of to rsacontracting@charter.net thank you Robert

I use Cabinet Vision and have "learned" to love it.
This stuff ain't cheap though. You won't find really great software for cheap.
Cabinet vision has a version called Kitchen Builder that has alot of good stuff. You could check that out.
I started with Cabinet Solutions years ago. That was less than what you are talking back then. Check that out, it was pretty easy to learn. But the limitations were too much for me when we went to cnc.
You didn't say if you were cut listing with it or not. I would think the price would come way down if you were not.

I take this straight to the cnc. I'm afraid to tell you how much I paid.

Do a search on-line for E-cabinet systems. Wait...http://www.ecabinetsystems.com go to this web site. You can download a free program for making cabinet plans and kitchen renders and all kind of great stuff.

All you have to do is register as a real company that works somehow in the field and voila. It's a very nice program, although i haven't gotten in to it too far yet. I mostly use another program.

I have that program. Good program. Takes some getting used to though. They sent the CD by mail.

There are better programs though for rendering and layout for sure.

Re: Kitchen Software And Layout

I bought 2020 kitchen design after looking for months for a cheaper or used software. Never found it, still look every now and the going on 2 years now and I'm sticking with 2020. Everyone uses it and I never saw it for less than $4000.

Re: Kitchen Software And Layout

I use Chief Architect for my 3d stuff.. but quite honestly it's way overkill for just providing layouts for kitchens. If I'm going to build cabinets I use ecabinets, as mentioned above. And for a free program it's does a decent job of showing what's there.. and if you spend the time to really learn the software it can make the fabrication go much better as well.
