Kids, Have A Chuckle.

I was just finishing up an article for my blog and the wife comes to get me.
The whole upper level of the house is full of smoke.
My 12 year old daughter has a sleepover with another girl so they decide to make lunch, Rice a Roni.
The flames are all the way on and everything in the pan is smoking, so I say
"What the heck is going on, why is the flame so high"?
My 12 year old responds to her clueless dad,
"The cooking instructions say "HIGH ALTITUDE"!

My kids aren't old enough to play with the stove yet. But that sounds a lot like my wife.

Re: Kids, Have A Chuckle.

A few weekends ago my oldest son, 12, was making himself some mac and cheese (the single serving microwavables) while I sat on the couch adjacent to the kitchen.

The timer goes off and he opens the door--and thick clouds of black smoke come billowing out. Assuming he'd run the timer too long, I jumped up to deal with the mess to hear him say, "I did it the same as I always do!"

After the smoke cleared, what was left was a half melted cup of black macaroni sticks....He'd forgot to add the water.

The house smelled like burnt macaroni for the rest of the week.

Mom is prone to adding an extra
zero on the microwave timer.
2 minutes....
20 minutes.....
What could go wrong?

Dont worry, if they burn down the kitchen all you have to do is bring in the one from your truck.
