Re: JUST A REMINDER (important)

I agree Ed, the one thing I still can't believe (but see it every day) is when people come in here and start asking dumb questions at post #1.

This is a lack of common sense IMO. Every forum I've joined it's the same routine, lurk (figure out the basic rules), introduce yourself, post to help (rarely a question within the first 10-15 posts), then after all that if I need help then I'll ask. How hard is that?

Then after about 50 posts, join in on the newbie hazing.

So much for getting professional help with my questions.

Now for the bombshell!
I am not a contractor, I am a Russian Orthodox priest and I got a wife in Chino and one in Tennessee. The first says she got my child but it don't look like me.
I just like to post on contractor forums.

I ran down to the levee but the devil caught me there
He took my twenty dollar bill and vanished in the air.

Re: JUST A REMINDER (important)

I set out runnin' but I took my time.

I understand now what sweet things memories are
Today is good, tomorrow is not here
My wife and I walked on New England hills
Content and sure
We moved and watched the trees
and leaves of molten glass

Re: JUST A REMINDER (important)

Now that I'm done hijacking this thread.

Why make it tougher for new posters? Where would the next RB or Tinner come from? Well, maybe not the best examples

I say let em come and we'll give the initiation. The real guys or (women, lets not forget them) will hang tough and probably be fun to have around.

I do like to think maybe the first 10 posts everyone is on probation. If you pass, come on in, if you don't then over to the DIY area or even the Dr Phil forum. If there is a Dr. Phil; forum.

I agree, with all of the above. CT was my first try at a forum. I asked a stupid question on my first post, got initiated, then learned.

Can't say I won't do it again.

Just like any trade there's a learning curve. So it is with Forums.

How about it, can everyone remember their first post?
