My wife, baby girl, and I sat on Oklahoma Avenue in town and watched it for 10 minutes....it traveled down the road by our farm where denick and his wife visited a few weeks back, took out the highlines, and a home across the road. I just had electric service built in...well...now there isn't any power.

Yes.....safe, and my batteries were dead in my camera....

We were having "quality time" together...

I am going to take the time to tell the whole story. So I am out at the farm, push a few trees down and working on the pad where I house will be....and when I take a break, I notice a thunderstorm is closing fast on me....my wife calls and says she and Jaylena are on their way out....I tell them to stay in town, we would come back after the storm blew over....and I am thinking this is just a small T storm. A mile from the farm, I notice a funnel forming.....(the one in the fist video) and call my wife and ask her what the weather is showing...she said nothing.....I say I can see a tornado, but it is small...no big deal, and I don't look back. I get to town and head for the quick stop for coffee....I was there maybe 10 minutes and all the guys around me started getting cell calls....my phone is now going off....my wife says the news just said an F4 is west of town and turning southeast....heading right into town. The coffee show crowd cleared immediately, and the cloud above Hennessey is ugly......I race up to my house and my wife and baby jump in the truck, and off we go...towards my Mom's house, where there is a storm shelter....we get there, sirens in town going off...panic everywhere.....and I notice the cloud is drifting north (we are on the south end of town, denick can tell you it isn't a very big town)...so I tell my wife lets go check the horses...hope the storm didn't run them into a fence....we head west on Oklahoma Avenue and presto, we had the view of the tornado for a full 10 minutes......then we went to farm and saw all the damage. Had I stayed at the farm, I would have been in it.

Jay, Really glad to hear your ok. As others have said it's amazing & terrifying all at once.

HOWEVER........

I find it absolutley HILARIOUS that even in the midst of a natural disaster you still see the opportunity for a potential customer. LMAO

The guy who is the overall manager for Seaboard Farms actually talked to me a few days ago about doing a few roofs for them on their offices, and maybe some maintenance work.....so who knows what calls may come next week?

I heard they have a company crew already on site....for emergency repairs.

Yes....I did say that...and while I was saying it, a tornado was a few miles from us that evening also.... and we didn't even know it.

I have family in TN....they have been on us to move out their for a few years now.....aside from the culture shock, I am scared to death of tornados. I'll take earthquakes and fires all day long, but not tornados.

Ah, the good life. Move to Arkansas or Oklahoma and you too can be dodging tornadoes this next spring.

Jay, I'm quite happy to hear you and yours are fine. I hope you didn't sustain too much damage. We've had over 50 tornadoes this year so far. Its nuts.
