issues with a heaving/twisting mobile home
ive been a contractor for many years now with zero issues or complaints. however a few months ago i worked on a mobile home with issues to begin with. i rennovated a bathroom ceiling to floor and everything in between, recently i recieved a call from the homeowner. the problem with the bathroom is, that now that the cold weather is here the unit seems as though its heaving and twisting, making my work appear shotty. im a very thorough contractor, and methodical, i always use quality materials and quality workmanship. my problem is the walls and corners are separating everytime the weather changes.....having to come back repeatedly to assess and either recaulk or make adjustments. i have repeated told the homeowner that this is gonna continue to happen, due to an unlevel mobile home that is not on a slab or foundation. as a contractor i want to make sure that my customers are happy with my work without hesitation, and i strive to keep up my quality of work. this mobile home issue is getting the better of me. i told this customer i would come back as a one time courtesy(and to maintain proper etiquette as a good contractor) to rectify this issue with the walls separating due to climate changes. this problem is going to cost ME one day labor , and 300.00 of material out of my pocket, only to have this home do this repeatedly. as much as i want to make this issue go away forever,i dont want this customer thinking im a deadbeat contractor. i dont want any issues with the contractor board or my registration, what are my responsibilties and options? any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear that. In my area, all new mobiles are put on a foundation that goes below frost line for that reason, among others. Now that you've had this experience, you'll know what to declare or put in your contract ahead of time for the next time you work on a mobile that's not on a foundation.

In my experience all mobile homes twist and heave...
as you shove them off a cliff.

Hey SLSTech. You accuse me of not being legit? I'm not the one with my companies fricken website in my profile. Why so paranoid? As to bringing back old threads, I'm just learning to use this stuff and didn't understand this unwritten edicate you seem to know so much about. If we're not to use old threads, then why are they accessible?
