Re: Island Work This Winter
Don't forget to switch over to Island Time once you get there. Work starts about 9:00 am, work till about 11:00, then it gets hot so you have to stop, start again the next day. Should take you about 4 or 5 years to complete.

Re: Island Work This Winter
waterfalls, heh?
sounds like you need a qualified electrical technician to help you oversee the installation. It just so happens that I know the perfect guy...

Re: Island Work This Winter
Way back when when I was young and good looking I spend some time in the merchant marine as a deck officer. Saw this notation on a chart: "Virgin Islands, what a disappointment!"

Re: Island Work This Winter
we just got back from st thomas/st john. the work pace is way slow (david so got island fever-thought i would have to trade in our return tics for a round trip for my self and pack up the house). but lots of contractors that live there (imagine that-we met contractors) said help was poor and slow (it wouldnt take long till dave whipped out the mean mad leprecaun on the natives)-and you are going to have "villa maintaince staff" for workers? keep in mind material availabilty-they have to ship in everything. there is a home depot in st thomas.
if you have time for a working vacation-and dont have work in the winterwhere you r at -have a blast. and dont forget to hit the bamboo hut in tortula for the full moon party. |
