Interior Painting Bid

HELP! That sounds so desperate...I'm a landscaper/artist by trade. BUT..have a BA in Art (concentration in painting) and ...have always done interior painting work on the side for myself and others. Don't hate me, a steady hand, neat, no real taping required...why am I justifying...well I recently got approached about doing a 2700 sq ft house...ceilings prime & 2 coats...all colonial trim, walls, doors cassings, spindles etc, materials are my choice. I like Benjamin Moore Paint. Anyway...what's the going rate per square ft in Southern NH. My house is cold!

Good luck with this there are plenty on here with a BA in BS. Do you have insurance to paint someone elses house?

This will be the moment in life that you reflect back to and wish you had worded your request differently or not at all.

Not harsh, just a lot of new posters/members frequently come on here and ask what to charge for various contractor services.
Usually (nearly always) the question is lacking the necessary information even the most experienced pro would need to give so much as an educated Wild-Ass-Guess.

As someone recently posted here, it's about the same as if you walked onto a job site and asked a framing crew how much it costs to build a house.

So don't get the wrong impression, the guys on here are great and knowledgable beyond belief, and they WILL help. You just have to approach properly and give them as much info as you can.
The more erudite the question, the more precise the answer.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Sorry, I left that part out, the most important part. I must have gotten lost in my directionless ramble without a point....

Yes it's $7.35 an hour on average.

iffin yas donts know the meanin' of a word, this equates to the simple fact that one can not possibly possess the qualities nor the denotation of said Gramatical example. It kinda works real nicely like that in the English Language!
