Insurance Explained

Hey Everyone, I want to add a little service to what I already do but need some direction. I want to be able to explain to clients in a general way what is and what is not covered by insurance. I do not want to get into insurance repairs. I have done that before and have no desire to revisit it.
I guess I am looking more along the lines of predictive maintenance. I want to educate the customer that not checking the gutters or the crawlspaces for moisture, etc can create problems later and probably will not be covered by insurance. I want to try and get the client to be proactive instead of reactive. What I would like is a web site or similar that I can get permission to print out and use as a handout.
Any ideas anyone?

Re: Insurance Explained

Have you asked your insurance agent? They may have some helpful literature.

Re: Insurance Explained

Along your gutter cleaning preventative maintenance, you could scare them with the "MOLD" issue.

If it occurrs due to a catastrophic event or a covered peril, then it would be covered, but when it occurrs due to neglecting maintenance issues, then they are SOL.

There are many useful pieces about mold and mold prevention on the internet.

I'll find something from my links as a starter for you.
