For your business, pay neighborhood kids to throw rocks at their own
windows.

There are hundreds of innovative ways to advertising. While many work, conventional ways are more cost-effective and productive. Read Guerilla Marketing books. Their series of books list several hundred ways to get your name out, and we use many of these methods, in limited doses. For example, every time you pay any type of bill, including utilities, insert a business card, pen, calendar, etc. We give business cards, pens, and calendars to every person we meet, in every store, on the street, in home centers, in our coffee shop, bowling alley, etc. Still, this is not enough to rely on. Organizations like the VFW, Bingo clubs, golf clubs, city council meetings, and bars are terrific places for getting business from the people you meet. I know many contractors who get 100% of their business from these places and they are swamped with work. My problem is I hate to charge people I have personal relationships with, so I give my services away.

NUMBER ONE METHOD: We do a lot of business, and we are never slow. We have been using flyers for 35 years. We have crews that are dedicated to delivering flyers. We insert them in newspapers and magazines, and we hire delivery services. We deliver over 30,000 flyers every week.

Probably, for you, home shows would be the next best method. Go to the thread, about home shows, and read about our candy tube that attracts business.
