Indiana general contractors license

I live in michigan right above the indiana border and have my residential builders license for michigan and was thinking it might be a good idea to look into getting a license for indiana. Does anyone have a license for indiana or know what kind of license they have? I looked on the indiana website and couldnt find anything. I also googled it and didnt come up with much. I would appreciate any info anyone has on it.

Thanks alot

Just read this on thats site

We carry all of the approved references for the Indiana General Construction license exam. Indiana licenses at the city or county level; individuals should contact the city/county they wish to become licensed in for information regarding which exam is required.

so it looks like each county or city has its own license.

Only plumbers are required to hold licenses in Indiana on the state level.

All other requirements vary, and are obtained at the city/local level.

In Indianapolis, General Contractors are required to be licensed but there is no testing. Requirements are for insurance (GL & WC) and bond.
