What're you gettin' at Bill? Good folks here for sure, but what is it you want to know? If you want to know about me, just ask. Probably most feel the same.

I have read a lot of posts on here and because this is an internet forum there is a lot of false impressions, truth stretching given by some here.

For the most part though, people here are just sharing and giving information without trying to create an inpression.

Re: Impressions

I met Dougchips, Bone Saw, The Woodman at Deck Expo. Not one of them looked the way I would have expected.

Bone Saw is a former marine, with huge shoulders and a rough way of talking, but from his writing and pictures a very inteligent and highly talented man. It's his burliness I didn't expect.
And Chris, I mean this as a compliment

Dougchips is tall, solid (not fat), and seems like a regular guy. From his posts I thought he was far larger and more of a corporate type than he is (Again: meant as a compliment)
He has a normal name but does not want it shortened to a nickname.
You know, like Steve for Steven, Dan for Daniel, or Chuck for Charles, for example.

The Woodman: a downhome cowboy type. Coming from Utah I thought he'd be some sort of religeous fanatic, but he likes beer as much as the other guys!

To tell you the truth, We all seemed to connect pretty good. Here we were, a Canadian, a cowboy, a corporate guy and a marine, from Utah, virginia, Canada, and (Doug I forget where you're from) and we had a great evening together, and spent several hours just talking.
I hope we can all meet next year again!

Re: Impressions

Ah, what can I say and no get myself in trouble........

The wedding dress was our little secret Dirt!

I do actually own a Disney wig that I wear as a gag with a long fake gold gansta necklace and sunglasses. When I go to pick someone up and they are expecting me they turn and run away.

As far as the Vegas crew:

Woodman is not Woodman without the big shotgun. A more gentle person compared to his avator.

Steven (Steve), I was expecting someone with wacky views on P/L like some of the people here from Canada. Steve is actually one of the most PC guys that I have met, he didn't even call me gay when I dressed in drag.

Bonesaw, I assumed would be a 80's "surfer dude" (I use to be). Bone is actually a normal dude that I would want with me if I ever got in a bar fight. He goes all the way to Vegas and takes a few hours to teach me a CAD program instead of chasing the girls or slot machines. (thanks).

Re: Impressions

After reading some of the post I do check out there profiles to see what there back grounds are. And for a lot of guys there are very young. But very smart. But it is funny how we think of people and what they look like. They say a man 6ft. will be taken more seriously then a man 5' 7 " and would most likely get the job over the shorter guy sucks for me the 5'7" builder hey are platforms back in style yet.

Re: Impressions

My much beloved ex-father-in-law is a painter and he's about 4'11". So everytime I read a painter on here, I think of a delightful shorter guy who smokes stogies.
