I Need Some Myrtle Beach, SC Insight

So, if someone were going to move down to Myrtle Beach and go to work for a soot, smoke, water restoration company as a project manager, how much do you think the salary average would be?

Could you share with me what the market is currently like down there for builders in general?

I checked it out at salary.com but I'm not sure how accurate it is. TIA!!

No more than $20 p/ hour and that's being generous. I love Myrtle Beach and there's so much work going on there too! But the pay is crappy. How do I know? I looked into it when visited there over last Christmas. I'm going down there again in a few weeks to see the new Kiss Koffee House!

I'm guessing KISS the band and that it's likely to be another tourist trap like the Hard Rock Cafe!

Hey Magnet! Kiss was my fave band in my youth. I've heard about this Kiss Koffee shop, please take some pictures and post them here.

the pay is cheaper but so is the cost of living, everything is cheaper. The only company I know of in that line is A & I. As a company their work sucks and is below par. They charge alot for it so maybe they play well, but I doubt it. I make twice what I did in the Charleston SC area here in Tampa FL but only live a little better off.

Not everything is cheaper. For instance, the price for 250' of 12/2 NM-B (Romex) is exactly $69.00 here in Rahway, NJ. Down in South Carolina, the price is still $69.00 for the same exact product. The only thing that is different is A) your paycheck, and B) your housing. The price of dinner for four at the Outback Steakhouse in South Carolina is the same as it is in New Jersey.

Yes, the KISS KOFFEE HOUSE is indeed the 'You Wanted The Best You Got The Best: KISS.' I forgot to go there last time I was there. I'm a big-time fan from when I was five years old. I've just got to see those two huge boots at the entrance to believe it!

Here is the Kiss Coffee House:

And here is a link to view pictures of it being built: http://www.kisscoffeehouse.com/buildingit.htm
