I Hate It When I Forget Something....

So it's 4:00 a.m. and I find that I forgot to do a quote I promised someone would have this morning.

I am going on a field trip with my daughter today at 6:30 am - 7:00 pm, (off to Yosemite) and cannot do it later today and went to bed last night like no big deal.

Then I woke up at 4:00 am, unintentionally, thinking I blew off a customer, got up and got on the darn computer to do the estimate.

How many times have you run into a situation like this?

I'd like to think I am always this dedicated to getting bids in, but I am guilty of blowing things off occasionally. I am much better now that work is scarce, but in the past, when money was easier, I might have waited until I returned to do this.

After I see what I'm estimating, I always come home and write it up. I don't care how late I stay up as long as I get the estimate out as soon as possible.

Around here, my competition seems to think taking 3 to 10 days to do an estimate is fine. If I don't have mine out to the customer within 24 hours they get $100.00 off. Thats just my policy.
