The detail circle is photoshopped, the stairs I believe actually were made that way. That's been floating around the architecture forums for awhile. They all get a chuckle out of us construction guys, thinking we're the dumb ones.

I spoke up in defense of us. I said "If you'd like me to show you guys the amount of screw ups you architects do, then I'll get my camera and go to one place I'm working on now and show you who the idiots really are"

Shut them up pretty good!
