HVAC Licensing Question

I'm new here. Just here, I'm old everywhere else.

Brief Overview: I work for a GC specializing in Multi family(apartments) rehab. We are currently working a job in the ghetto. The owner of the property hired an out of state HVAC guy (not licensed in Georgia). He got caught by the city. The city wants an in state HVAC guy to pull permits for the out of state guy.

The Question: Is this a common practice? Do I let my HVAC guy get involved? We're talking a little over $200k contract. So if I let my HVAC guy pull these permits, how much do we charge the out of state guy? What liability am I opening my guy up to and is it worth it?

32 looks and no one has an opinion? You've never let anyone else use your license for a fee? The out of state guy is licensed, just not in Georgia.

It happens all the time. You need an Atty. to let you know the best course.
