How MUch ShOULD I Do THIs FOr?

ok - im building a hangar for this guy that owns rockets.

it's going to be made of steel

i need to know to get an estimate NO LATER than tonight

PLEEEASE HELP

i don't have photos or any plans - but if you can just picture like this big big barn that a rocket would be stored in - and then times that by like 4 (cuz the guy has like 4 rockets) === then you'd get the idea

oh and no paint - somebody else is gonna do that

tHANKS!!!!

PS - oh by the way - when you guys give me the estimate - can you please break it down between labor and mateials? The customer (well, he's not a customer yet - but he'll prolly go for it - i can tell - i have a "feel" for this sorta stuff) - but the customer really wants to see a breakdown and i just want to make sure that he's getting the most for his money.

so just if you guys can break the numbers down???

36 cents a foot times rockets designed maximum achievable altitude. If rocket cannot achieve upper atmosphere then it's not considered a real rocket and pricing is subject to the standard 'plane taking off on a rolling runway' price structures.

Probably a terrorist looking for a dupe to set up shop in the states.

Maybe he could use one of these;

Re: How MUch ShOULD I Do THIs FOr?

I realize that I am past the deadline, and I sort of agree with Shamrock, but I have one question- Are all four hangers gonna be built at the same time? Just trying to be as accurate as possible in the proposal by factoring in delivery charges and mobilization costs. It would save him money if he could do all four at once. Also, is this going to be a union facility? Got to factor in the payoff's and bribes as well.

I'm pretty sure in my area you will need a Rocket Engineer to plan this for you. Make sure he has the rocket license. It can be found on the back of old comics.
Is the roof going to slide out of the way to shoot the rockets? I think that would be cool!

The electrical will be $5.40 per foot. Unless they want Decora.

I don't understand the problem. Just give a ballpark figure and then charge whatever you want.

Re: How MUch ShOULD I Do THIs FOr?

Ahhhhhh, a rocket barn, eh! No problem.

First, you must determine the geometric configuration of how they will be placed in storage. For example – triangular, in-line or in rows of two.

Will they be launched directly from their parked positions? If yes, then you must calculate the required thrust capacity of the undlying concrete – lots of guys miss that one.

Ingress and egrees to the hangar are important. Will the rockets be moved around with a handtruck, furniture dolly or forklift?

Where will you plug in these rockets to charge the batteries and the gyro-cosmic-thermocouples? Will you be installing the kanootin valves?

The most important consideration in a rocket barn is the dirt pile outside where everyone hides behind after the fuse is lit.

now this gryo-cosmic-thermocoupler ...

do i put a mark up on this??? iF so - does that mean i add $20 on top of what it costs?? Cuz my friend does this stuff and he said he makes 20 percent and that all contractors make either 10 or 20 percent

THANKS!!!!!!

Nope.

A squared, plus B squared, multiplied by 2.57, the square root of that number multiplied by 3.75 is the right number.

LMAO

Because rockets were involved I figured gravitational acceleration calculations should be involved in there somewhere.

I think none of you have considered the flux capacitors yet. You also have to remember this:

F=MA and you can't push a rope.
