Home Inspection check list

I was wondering if some one has a home inspection check list. My girlfriends parents are buying a house and want me to take a look at it. It doesn't have a crawl space. The brick does not have weep holes. I drove by and a 3'x3' section of the brick was wet also the corner behind the gutter the brick was wet. It had not rained all that day, but did rain the day before hard.

Just a general check list of things that you check would be great. Thanks in advance.

Those "checklists" are pretty well protected by the home inspection franchises. I see that you can buy them on eBay from time to time.

Here's an inspection report - not a checklist really.
Well I was going to attach it but apparently it's too big (24kb is too big???).

When I bought my house back in 1994 I had an inspector named "Skip" . Sadly for old RRD that was an appropriate name...

As much as I am exposed to and think I know about the ”trades” – good home inspectors are engineers that really know what to look for. It’s money well spent.
I have a deal worked out with them – I don’t inspect houses – and they don’t paint them. But here is a link that my help you.

home inspection

first of all I would not do an inspection for family A few years ago we thought about starting a home inspection service by having a g c plumber and electrian all go out to inspect homes ,than type up report including all trades findings including reccomendations, approx cost to repair and or replace same but we would not accept work on any house that we inspected due to conflict of interest.
