Helping To Level The Playing Field
So, I got home a little early today started looking at CL to see how many c*ck s*#kers were advertising. I found no less than 20 ads that were either unlicensed, or where you're supposed to enter your license number they would just put licensed & insured. Here in Connecticut the law states:
Advertising • You must display your registration number in all of your advertising, including business cards, display ads, television and newspaper ads, trucks and other vehicles. • Aside from the legal requirement, your registration demonstrates good faith to your customers and your willingness to comply with the law. • We will send you a wallet-size registration card as well as a certificate for your office. Carry your registration card with you at all times and show it to all of your customers. So I started emailing this, and the laws about licensing to some of them( yeah I need a hobby). Then I was wondering if I could find someone from the state I could CC. Sure enough I found the chief investigators email. Now every unlicensed hack i email the law to, I cc the head investigator. Will this help? I have no idea. They will probably investigate me for making a stink. |

Well, it depends ...to some... your tactics might be scam, spam, lame, etc... (if repeatly done every day of the week!) then they're not welcomed anymore! People are lazy by nature btw. |

Re: Helping To Level The Playing Field
Whats lame is me breaking my ass only to get low balled by people breaking the law. I pay my taxes, and my license fees, lets see if its worth it.

Re: Helping To Level The Playing Field
In Fl if you advertise without putting your number along with your name you can be fined. If they do in in print all you have to do is send the paper to the CILB and they send the violators a fine...

Re: Helping To Level The Playing Field
I think Craigslist should do away with all "business" ads alltogether! Everyone with half a brain knows anyone who advertises there is a hack or a scammer! After all they are getting rid of the Erotic section!!!

They can't do away with both. People need a way to get screwed.
