HELP! What Brand Is This Window???
I'm working on a project in which I need to replace a few window sashes. I've never seen this logo before and I can't find the usual sticker located on most windows. Any help would be appreciated.
The window is aluminum... I've looked up all window manufacturers that start with "P", but can't seem to find a similar logo on any websites. Thanks, Jason 708208 Last edited by jkfdavmat1; 01-09-2009 at 07:34 PM. Reason: Adding more information |

And when they were cleaned the last time. I bet they have something to do with Pace Setter. I cant remember if that is all one word or not.

Re: HELP! What Brand Is This Window???
I'm located in Nashville, Tennessee. My wife and I just purchased the house as a rental. I usually just do framing and finish carpentry so I don't have a lot of experience with windows. I have no idea when the windows were installed. I'm guessing within the last 10 years. That probably doesn't help.
As for when they were last cleaned...I have no idea. I'll google Pace Setter and see what I can find. Thanks. |

Re: HELP! What Brand Is This Window???
Looks like you were right! They are Pacesetter windows... Looks like they got in trouble for conning people out of money and now no longer exist. Looks like I won't be getting replacement sashes. I guess I'll just have to get the glass replaced. Thanks for the info guys.

Personally, I think it should be a law that all window MFGs must stamp or ID the windows in a uniform place. I have spent way too much time chasing down obscure/no-name brand windows.
Know what I mean?

I dont even wan't to get into how I knew what kind of window that is. Long story, kind of embarassing, it was a long time ago as well. I hate trying to identify or match something. I should start a service just for that. I tried to match a busted out window on a repo for the bank/real estate company. You cant match junk builders windows!! I told them they need all new windows. At least I got 175 bucks for screwing some osb over it. I used #20 Torx heads, theft deterrant. |

Re: HELP! What Brand Is This Window???
since almost all replacement double Hung's are designed to fit into a 3 1/4 inch cavity and share a common sash thickness of 1 3/8", why not see if a sash from a different manufacturer works and interlocks with the existing remaining sash rail? Even if the sash balances are different you can easily replace a pair as they are usually just held in with a single screw at the top of the frame. Most all manufactures will make a sash to exact size. (W x H) You can even re-use the same filthy hardware.
