Help With Finish On Pecky Beam
hello all. I am planning on pecky cyprus beam for a mantel. i have already
aquired the beam and need more know how on the finishing. I've begun to wire brush the voids. I'm thinking i might want to fill the voids with epoxy or the bar top stuff. Do I use a wood sealer? I can only imagine that the cyprus is going to suck up anything i put on it. thanks in advance

Re: Help With Finish On Pecky Beam
Wouldn't you think that this might
belong under painting and finishing? Or better yet at DIY forum?

Re: Help With Finish On Pecky Beam
Cycanoacrylate. Use it to harden the soft areas. Fill with your choice of filler.
