Great Deal On Rigid 24 Volt LI Kit
I posted this in tools section, but I figured I'd throw it in here as well since there only a few days left on the sale.
Great Deal on Rigid 24 volt LI kit... At home depot, their advertised price is $597, I picked one up today for $317! Very nice quality, and they have a lifetime warranty. This is the kit, includes hammer drill, circular saw, recip saw, flashlight,2 batteries ,charger, and carry bag. http://www.ridgid.com/Tools/RIDGID-X...-Kit/index.htm Sale ends on the 2nd I think, so you guys need to jump on this quick! There is also an online rebate coupon for a free single 24v li tool when you purchase this kit, I'll post the link for that when I find it . here is the coupon.. http://www.homedepot.com/cmc_upload/...idComboKit.pdf Last edited by AirPro; 12-29-2006 at 07:17 PM. Re: Great Deal On Rigid 24 Volt LI Kit
I bought it and returned it 3 hours later... I already have quite a number of ridgid cordless and I was looking forward to the Lithium batts primarly for the circ saw... The old Ridgid cordless circ has blade left and the new one is blade right. Completely useless to me.

Yep! I'm getting the jigsaw. I really like the battery feature, they have a button you push on the batt that lights up 1-4 lights to let you know the charge remaining. I might go back and pick up another one in the morning for my installer...Felt like a kid in the toy store when I seen this.

Re: Great Deal On Rigid 24 Volt LI Kit
I went to HD today...and saw an even better deal...the tag said Milwaukee V28 for $377, and of course, they were sold out...Dewalt DC4 Kits for $387, and they were out..., sold out of the Ridgid 24 volts....just another example of I bet they only had a few at that price....and no rain checks...like I told the manager when I griped to him about it...since I will voice my opinion, just another reason to avoid HD, I don't think I have ever been happy with them....and I don't mind telling them when contractors give bad reviews, word gets out....funny thing was, after I said that to him, he offered me a "raincheck" since I am a contractor....I said no thanks.

I bought the Ridgid 24v li drill last week, marked down to $179. Too good of a deal to pass up.

Re: Great Deal On Rigid 24 Volt LI Kit
When I took it back I went to my guy at the pro desk... He called the manager (as it seems they always have to) and the manager said he would not take it back. I told him to call the manager back and have him tell me to my face he would not take it back. He calls the manager and the guy chickens out, wont even come down to talk to me. He tells the pro desk guy "go ahead and take it back" So unfortuantly I did not get to cut up my HD commercial card in front of the manager. Oh well maybe next time he will come talk to me.
BTW I went and bought the 18V drill/saw combo for $137. It was the old saw so it had the blade left side and it came with 2 batts. The drill will just replace one of the other 2 that are well beat up.
