LOL, almost as bad as colorado from what I've heard

I remember that, I had all the plow stuff put away for the season then that freak storm hit and caught us by suprise, figured (like always) all winter long the weathermen call for a bunch of snow and we get a trace, call for light snow and we get hammered, so I never even bothered to load the trucks up...my bad. AND I got real used to not trudging through the white stuff to work also...that really sucked.

Did'nt have any before/after shots, just playing around pictures:
client parking lot
low rent dirty bastages apt complex
drivin in da hood doin driveways
My personal majic trick-storm caught us by suprise and car was in my way sooo-
NOW U SEE IT:
NOW U DONT'T

This was a Jim Barna home out of Tennessee, came on three semi's. All pieces were numbered and fit together perfectly. I would highly recommend the Jim Barna home. I don't know if you are an experienced builder or not, but the roof system was the tricky part.

The log walls themselves went up fast and easy with precision fit. The beams and gluelams all needed to be site cut and fit. That is where you will need the the knowledge of roof framing.

You will need a good chainsaw, augerbits, electric impact wrench, beam cutter, plenty of scaffolding, crane, etc.

All in all it was one of my more rewarding projects as they are not that common around my area. The HO's own a christmas tree farm, so the setting is perfect.

They pretty much heat the whole thing with a centrally located wood fireplace, and radiant floor heat in the basement.

All interior walls must be built to accomodate settling of the exterior log walls. Electrical and plumbing is far from traditional also. The plumbing must have enough slope so that after settling it's not running uphill! HVAC ducts must have flexible boots installed, and water supply lines are PEX. Electrical must be preplanned so holes can be drilled in logs and also square holes cut in for boxes. This is all done during the stacking of logs.

I'm not sure exactly what it is you would like to know, but this should get a start.

Here's a few when it was mostly finished...
Exterior porch railings and steps were not in yet and some interior trimwork left.

Yeah, that looks like Colorado... We had one April that it snowed 28 of the 30 days... It always melted off before noon but there was snow almost everyday. And we have had some freak april snows that were quite large.
