Needless to say, I'm

Now it's time to see if your insurance payments were worth it or not.

Sorry to hear about it, good luck.

If anyone steals from me, I'll help them with their copper collection.

I have a sign on my job box....... "Don't run away with my tools: You'll only die tired"

With a $500 deductable, it really isn't worth claiming it.

I know how you feel, I was pretty much cleaned out by some a-hole a couple months ago. I really hope you find your stuff or get reimbursed. If not, at least you have an excuse to get brand new equipment.

Why have insurance than? You know the bad thing is I would do the same thing. You make a claim, pay 500.00, fight for a month or to with the insurance company then you might get SOME of the tools replaced. Oh yea your premium just went up for making a claim.

The Equipment gets depreciated so they don't cover the full cost either

You need one of those solar powered cattle fence units in your trailer wired to the latch.

They come through the city all the time, everytime they see a trades worker, and pop their trunks to reveal a booty of stolen tools.

Re: Got Robbed!!!

i put a security system in a builders job trailer. he's got it running off a marine battery when he doesn't have a ac hookup. all it does is sound the siren, but that should be enough to scare most people away and wake the neighbors.

if he had wanted it, i could have put in a cell backup on the system and had the monitoring company call him if there was an alarm.

Re: Got Robbed!!!

Time for a wireless security system.

Insurance is a hi-priced loan with a $500 deductible the remaining $700 will quickly depreciate when you get the new higher rates.
