Got Into A Yard Sign War Today:)

Doing a bath remodel for a buddy and this house is right next door to his dad's place. Anyways, another company did a siding job a few places down and stuck a yard sign out, couple days later they capped windows at the place next to that so they got a yard sign too from that company.

While we were cleaning up the mess in the bathrrom the doorbell rang and they were handing out flyers-AND MY TRUCK WAS RIGHT NEXT TO THE DOOR!!! I had to laugh at that since the college kids did'nt give a fock obviously

So stuck a sign in the yard I was working at and stuck on in his dads yard as well, so now the neighborhood has 4 yard signs right in a row LOL!! Oh well, had to do something to make me smile today

Now you need to sneak out there and paint their name on your signs so everyone will think they are rotten bass turds

They either had nerve or were stupid? one of those I might admire!!

I'm sure it was both, young college kids just doing their job and using typical college mentality-aka no common sense. LOL!!

Like the time I got a call from a compnay to replace windows, said sure I'd love to meet with somebody, they came to the house, asked to use my phone and called the boss and said I was just leading them one asked the guy to at least sit down and do his presentation so I could get some pointers

Nothing to do with signs - just dumb college kids. Doorbell rang and it was a kid with a College Painters handout. I said, "I own a painting company myself - didn't you see my truck with the big logo on it parked in the driveway? You walked right by it!".
He gave me this blank look, apologized, and left. DUH...

Yeah, I do the exact same thing whenever I go into Home Depot or Lowes and the guy standing in front of the A/C display keeps pestering me. I don't like wasting anyone else's time any more than I like my own time being wasted, and I understand that they are required to give at least one rebuttal but I am not a hard person to convince if someone wants to give me a free in-home evaluation.

Then when they arrive, I respond to their sales pitch by saying, "Wow! Your company seems like a great place to work! I really can't afford what you are selling right now, but by any chance would you guys be hiring or subbing out work?"
