Gas Pipe Class Action

My wife pulled this out of a magazine last night. Class action against the csst gas flex lines. Settlement ranges from $75-$2000. www.csstsettlement.com

Did utility companies use this from the street going to the meter?

This is a great product! You take a class to get certified. It's used indoors
where you would run black iron pipe.

Re: Gas Pipe Class Action

All the utility companies I have seen only install poly pipe not CSST.

I will only install GAS TITE CSST. It is by far the best product to run gas line with. The certification class is helpful on knowing how to properly use the product and I install it on almost every job I do that requires a line being ran. Just to not have to deal with iron pipe is worth the added expence.

As for the settlement, I had not even heard about there ever being an issue with this other product. Something about lightning strikes because of the SS.....i dunno

It seems all you have to do is ground the pipe. I don't know under what circumstances you would have to have a whole Lightning rod sytem installed. I'm not an electrician though.
