Game Playing

Just wondering if anyone plays the game Sims or Sims2 and if so have you got building ideas from playing it from the foundation to the roof to interior decor?

Re: Game Playing

I only did Sims 1, but I learned that you can put a bunch of pilings up and build a house, then take them all down and the house will float in the air. And people who come to visit always seem to be ringing the doorbell at the wrong place.

Yeh and wait till they are 28 and they are still playing then...it is the generation gap that the folks talked about in the 60's

Yeah, but it's every generations job to scare the sh*t out of their parents.
I had my shot at it back in the 60's.

Re: Game Playing

I used to play Sim City. It's an urban planning simulation. I would build streets and run utilities and build public parks. The Sims would move in and everything was cool, then they'd start complaining about the lack of public services like police and fire, so I'd raise taxes to pay for that stuff and they'd all move out because they didn't like the taxes.

Those little Sims suck. There's no pleasing those little runts. I even built a figgin sports stadium, did the appreciate it? No! They complained about the traffic!

I f'ing hate Sims!

You should run for public office, it sounds like you would fit right in...

When I played the sims my mom would wonder about the big red vibrating bed in my bedroom.

I was also the only man in the neighborhood

Re: Game Playing

The first time I ever played the Sims, I wasn't quite sure how it worked, so I used a preset house and people. I left it running for a while by itself and when I came back everybody was dead, the house had burned down, and there were gravestones in the yard.

My oldest was 7 when I got our first computer and Sim City game. She completed the city and got to hear the angels sing several times.

Re: Game Playing

I tried the Sims once, other then building a fence around a guy and watching him piss himself and cry about it and eventually die, I thought the game sucked. If I play a game I wanna save the world or win the Superbowl, not take my character to the bathroom and save up money for a jukebox.
I did play it once long enough when I was home sick to be able to have a baby, I left it home alone and went to work and I guess the Sims CPS came and took it away, it cried alot so I didnt mind it being gone. I gave the Sims to my sister, I would rather play a game where you can shoot a zombies head off and watch him still try to walk.

Re: Game Playing

Real life is hard enough... why would I want to play a game based on it????

Or like Denise Miller said... pretty soon we are gonna be playing video games with our kids based on a father and son going outside to play catch!!
