Re: Freeze Up

kill frost... Polyurethane hoses help too. Keep them out of the snow. Add an inline dryer so you have no mosture in the hose.

Most important... DONT WORK WHEN ITS THAT COLD!!!

Re: Freeze Up

I've seen guys stack plywood around the the compressor and generator forming a box. The heat from the exhaust will help keep them warm.

Thats the best money I ever spent was some 1/4" flexxeel polyurethane hoses, they are the best there is hands down. They never get stiff and light as a feather.
Usually what I do is either put my compressor in the back of the truck and close the cap to keep the wind rain and snow off it or put it in the customers garage or something, I really haven't had to many freeze up problems. I also have an inline dryer.

Break-Free is good on all guns. Are you using revolvers or semi-automatics? It could make a difference.

Re: Freeze Up

Down here in Ga all I have to do is put the hoses by a fire for a while to thaw them out on the coldest mornings. Never had a compressor freeze up. On the coldest working days its usually around 30 degrees. Snow?, maybe once every couple of years.
