Re: Forecasters Say It Is Going To Be A Mild Winter??

Yes we got snow!!!
I don`t know what time the rain turned to snow last nite but at daylight there was about 3" on my truck. Typical MI weather the sun popped out for about 30 minutes around 9:30 then it started snowing HARD. still snowing pretty good. Got about 4 1/2" on the deck. And it`s only 32 degrees out. It`s a wet heavy snow to.
The weatherman says todays snow and cold temps is going to break records around Grand Rapids. Lotsa wind on it`s way after the snow.
Todays high is only supposed to be 38 and tomorrow high is 42 and possibly more snow the next 2 days.
I heard some places on the west side might get up to a foot of snow. In a couple of the snow belts I don`t doubt it.
Oh well, like we say here in MI, if you don`t like the weather, wait 5 minutes.

Snowed in the Chicago area also during the morning ... sun is out now.

Just a dusting, can't measure it, from where I traveled anyway.

Don't scare me. I'm a snow plow contractor in the winter. I won't be ready for weeks yet!

90 and partly cloudy. West winds and low humidity, just about perfect.

Hoping for a cold winter and high heating bills, $10 a gallon for heating oil will drive my sales! Just has to warm up for me to work!

Re: Forecasters Say It Is Going To Be A Mild Winter??

we had flurries here today and a high of about 44 if that. I hope we don't get a good snow for another month or so. I have way to much stuff to do around the house outside before winter decides to hit.

Re: Forecasters Say It Is Going To Be A Mild Winter??

I was just going to post back and say that clearly it must've been early this morning when you posted this message about it being a blizzard outside, then I seen that it was 9:02. You are definitely right. I was on the road around 8 oclock and it was terrible. My wipers were on as fast as they can go, and still every 5 seconds a new blanket of snowflakes covered the windshield.

Oh where has the summer gone?

So what kind of work do you do? Have a nice weekend.

I hate it when it's too cold for baggies, T-shirts and flip-flops. Fortunately, I've still got a month or so to go. 70* is my cutoff point.

I guess they forgot to tell 'em in Buffalo, NY, - - they just got 2 foot of snow, - - declared state of emergency . . .

Forecast is for a mild winter here also, and normal rain. But what happened to the hurricane forecast? We need rain here in Oklahoma.

Re: Forecasters Say It Is Going To Be A Mild Winter??

We got alittle snow nothing to talk about, the temps are in the 30's this morning, But they are talking that by Tuesday we'll be back in the 60's again. Weather men and women what a group, all you need to do is look out the window and you'll be able to tell what is going on outside. That's about how good they are around the Detroit area. the thing is they make all that money for what?
