Fire And Smoke Damage?
We are going to look at a potential repair job that involves fire and smoke damage to the floor joists and wall caused by an in floor furnace.
Fire damage is something I do not have any experience with. What are things I need to look out for? How do I determine what has been damaged by smoke and fire and what needs to be replaced or repaired? Before looking at it, I am thinking gut the affected area and start from scratch but wanted to know what to look for with fire and smoke damage that might be hiding or not visible. |

Re: Fire And Smoke Damage?
the most important aspect of this kind of work, is to make sure the ins co and the ho realize that the scope of work is open ended pending demo. beyond that you must do your best to define the amount of damage based on your experiance.
