Fire Rated Party Walls

help, We have framed several units with standard concrete to roof fire walls by gapping floor sheathing to accomodate a continuous wall/insul/dbl 5/8 gyp- we now have been asked to seperate the crawl area from the rest of the party wall. ie triplex-dropped floor system on concrete stem walls w/concrete strip dividers needing ponywalls, or post supporting the beam at the party wall- then they specify one continuous run of floor sheathing(all 3 units), then fire wall/party walls. How can you meet fire code at the subfloor and in the crawl space?

Who is the "they" as in "they specify"? The architect? How him/her give you a detail on how you are supposed to accomplish the fire rating.
Seems to me you should be using fire rated plywood at the common floor and roof areas.
