Fire Rated Drywall


If i bend a 5/8" fire rated drywall by wetting it is it still approved by ULC for 1 hour fire rating?

I would contact the manufacturer of the drywall, that is a good question and please post response from them.

I don't see how it would affect it's performance after it's dry-it's just paper and gypsum with fiberglass-you're not changing it. Good luck bending it though.

I would agree, I think the thickness is the only thing that gives it a fire rating.

Yes it is. Provided that you dry it out quickly. Do not let it stay wet to long.
