Feedback Ratings

I have a little business where I sell wigets, (not their real name), on ebay , mostly local. It's nice to know when I'm going to a customers home that they have looked at my feedback rating and I have looked at theirs. Asking for full payment in advance is not a problem because they know I will produce.

Wouldn't it be nice if in the contractor/ customer world everyone had a feedback rating. A lady calls you to come over and fix her garage door and you look at her rating and see see she has 10 negetives, on to the next job. I know this has been discussed before but just thought I'd bring it up again. Something for you techno, guru, entenpeneural geeks to do in your spare time.

Re: Feedback Ratings

The problem is "site confidentiality" and "personal privacy". Yes, it can be done by following that famous eBay's guidelines for website design:

1. Protect client ID, i.e., name, social security #, birth date, etc. (for theft or ID protection);

2. Protect client's image/reputation by using/displaying nicknames on websites only, and hiding real address, real phone #, real bank acct#, etc.

3. Everyone only has one nick at the time, one account at the time (verified by bank, address, SSN#, BD, etc.)

4. When that person gets so many NEGATIVE marks, can he/she DELETE that account and create NEW one anew or not?

Now, when you start to hide alot of things like that from web users, the game is not fun anymore! Nobody knows who screw anybody, and who was the real crook!? No one can track who, where, how many times, and what had happened!?

Just like service magic, EASY to get in, but NOT EASY to get out!?
